Frankie was taken in by Dogs Trust Darlington as a stray at just 10 months old. She was later sourced by Northumbria Police for Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service to begin her journey as a search and rescue dog.

Frankie trained alongside her handler and, by the age of 17 months, had qualified as an Urban Search and Rescue Dog. Her dedication, intelligence, and drive made her a valued member of the team.

Unfortunately, Frankie was later diagnosed with hip dysplasia, which brought her operational career to an early end and led to her retirement.

Despite this setback, Frankie remains a much-loved and important part of the search and rescue family, and sponsorship helps support her ongoing care and wellbeing.
