Chewie Pudelpointer
Retired Border Force Dog
About
Chewie, a Pudelpointer, served with the UK Border Force in Hull Port as a Detection Dog, before he retired to his new family in 2021.
He is an absolute gent and an integral part of his devoted pack, and he was one of the first retired service animals to join the NFRSA family - we have been there for him ever since!
Chewie suffers from quite a bit of arthritis, as well as a few allergies, and he needs medication as well as regular hydrotherapy and acupuncture to keep the symptoms at bay.
We love Chewie, and his antics make us laugh, not just from amusement, but the fact his medications mean he is living his best life, pain free and with joy.
If you would like to help us to support Chewie with his treatments and his therapy, simply click the ‘Sponsor Chewie’ button and you will receive regular updates about our work, as well as Chewie’s adventures over the year and a special message at Christmas!
